On the 26th of January 2018, representatives of the European space industry gathered at the European Space Agency (ESA) premises in the Netherlands to discuss the transition towards the future Galileo Second Generation. The Galileo Initial Services started on December 2016, whereas the constellations is expected to be completed with 24 satellites late this year.  The Galileo Second Generation is foreseen to offer improved performance and added features.
